False Ceiling Installation

False Ceiling Installation refers to the process of installing a secondary ceiling below the original ceiling. The false ceiling is typically made from materials like gypsum board, mineral tiles, or PVC panels. It is often referred to as a dropped ceiling or suspended ceiling which serves both aesthetic and functional purposes in a room or a building.

Types:

  • Gypsum False Ceiling- A Gypsum False Ceiling is made from gypsum boards. It is installed below the original ceiling and is supported by a metal frame or suspension system which creates a smooth and aesthetically pleasing ceiling surface.
  • 2 by 2 False Ceiling- A 2 by 2 false ceiling refers to a type of suspended ceiling system where the ceiling tiles or panels are designed in a 2 feet by 2 feet grid pattern. It is commonly used in residential buildings and commercial spaces.

  • It improves a building’s energy efficiency by offering better insulation, reducing the need for excessive heating or cooling.
  • It improves sound insulation and reduces noise levels in a room, making them ideal for offices, recording studios, home theaters etc.
  • It helps regulate the temperature by acting as an insulation barrier. This can reduce the cost of heating and cooling systems etc.
